How to be positive When things are not on your side.

There are times when things don’t go by the way we want. Everything just seems working opposite to our will. Just like the current situation, the world and specifically India is shattered. People are worried for themselves and for families health. People are not able to move freely to other places, not able to go to offices, grocery shops, malls, theatres etc. freely like before. People miss weekend parties in pubs and restaurants. Many people are struggling due to this.

Below are few points from my personal experience that can help one to be positive, motivated and less stressed if one follows them :

  1. Eat healthy

Take proper healthy food filled with vitamins and minerals. Have fresh fruits and exercise regularly. Go for a walk, if you are not able to go outside you can walk on the terrace. Sleep well and at time. Don’t disturb your sleep with the mobile phones or gadgets. Take proper note of your diet. Vitamin rich food will nourish you to feel good and firm.

2. Be kind

Be kind to yourself and to others. Treat yourself with love. Handle the situations so that you can be on the wining side. Focus on small pleasures like having a good cup of tea or coffee. Feeding yourself with fresh fruit you like or juice. Care about yourself as you care about your family and friends.

3. Handle expectations

Don’t expect too much from yourself. Don’t burden yourself. If you are setting a bigger expectation, break it into smaller goals and achieve one by one. Celebrate at each level. Make yourself understandable that life is tough at the moment and everything will be fine. This will help you to handle any dead expectation that comes into your way. Reduce the burden from yourself and keep working hard, fighting and motivating yourself.

4. Stay away from Negative things

Stay away from the things that are responsible for negativity. Never expose yourself to the situations that trigger negative emotions. Don’t be prey of negativity. Remove the things that make you worry of something. Eradicate the situations that lead you to the dark phases of life.

Be mentally strong, it is the key to succeed from all odd situations. Read positive quotes, blogs, articles and books. Surround yourself with positivity. Watch videos that can increase the positivity in your life.

5. Talk, Talk and Talk

Don’t be shy to share the things. The things that make you worry. Talk to your friends, family or loved ones, who you think can suggest you good things to tackle bad situations.

Get help from experienced people, talk to your elder ones and share your problems. Don’t worry about what people will feel about you. Sharing will help you out and make you feel free and at peace.

6. Meditate

I don’t do it often but I would love to do. It increases our concentration and makes us feel relaxed. The breathing exercise helps us to be strong and firm from inside. Stress can be decreased by proper meditation.

These are the few points that can help you feel motivated, positive and lively during the bad times. I know, it is not easy to feel free and motivated when time is tough but the above few steps can help us.
